Why We Should Care
If sea turtles went extinct, both the marine and beach/dune ecosystems would be negatively affected. And since humans utilize both for food/fun, a negative impact to these ecosystems would negatively affect humans.
How do we help?
Reduce marine debris that may entangle or be accidentally eaten by sea turtles. Participate in coastal clean-ups and reduce plastic use to keep our beaches and ocean clean. Trash in the ocean kills sea turtles and other creatures that live there.
